Installation failed a second time

I tried to run it a second time but same issue. I Don't know what it does mean exactly.

Solution:
I had this same problem and followed this video to fix it. It had to do with the EFI partition https://docs.bazzite.gg/General/Installation_Guide/troubleshoot_guide/ video 1

Have you checked the install troubleshooting section of our documentation? This error is pretty generic and it's covered in depth there

But I never installed fedora before Should i then type Ubuntu instead of fedora?

I followed the tutorial but a very similar issue popped up.

Can you help me?

You can often get past that error by using manual partition instead of automatic partitioning. Which is covered in the install video on the website.

I have used the gui option i have placed them completely manually, i have deleted all efi partions with gparted live before, but still the same issue Maybe important I am using ventoy.

I'm doing this as configuration if that is a possible problem

Your manual partitions should look something like this https://docs.bazzite.gg/General/Installation_Guide/dual_boot_setup_guide/#manual-partitioning-to-the-same-drive-for-dual-boot-setups. Not sure if ext4 works with rpm-ostree so you'd want btrfs and a seperate efi partition that isn't shared with anything else. Try add the partitions exactly as the guide shows and see if you get the same error or not

What is btrfs? I thought I should use ext4?

ext4 is still a very popular filesystem but I think all of Fedora uses btrfs by default and it works particularity well with rpm-ostree You can google it if you want to see what it does differently

And what do I do with my actual home and usr folder on the old partition? It's from an kubuntu installation

You can keep home on ext4 just set it to mountpoint /var/home but you want btrfs for the system partition.

Is 500 gb for the system enough?

Depends on the games you play. If it's mostly indie then it's more than enough I have 500GB on the Rog Ally and it's more than enough for the stuff I play
Der Große Kleine
No my main games on steam and lutris are in the home folder but 500gb for "system and applications" Like before I had 1,6 tb and 1,3 were the home folder

I misread what you said. I have 120GB set for the system btrfs partition and that's been plenty
Der Große Kleine
Great then I use less
