Insight wanted for wedding suit choice
Hi friends! this coming summer I'm getting married and would appreciate some outside perspective on a suit choice. I've been trying some things on at a local place and think I have it narrowed down to one of two suits and one of two vests.
The main thoughts behind my doubts:
- I normally wear pretty subdued colours, so I'm torn between the grey suit which fits my usual preference and the yellow suit which might feel be a bit more colourful and festive.
- I like the deeper blue vest and the contrast it brings, but I'm assuming the jacket will come off at some point during the day and without it I feel like the dark blue vest clashes a bit more with the trousers of both suits.
- I'd like to wear this suit (2-piece or 3-piece) for other occasions in the future as well and I feel the grey one would be more versatile, but I'm also unsure of letting its use in future events affect my choice for the 'big day'.
Since thinking on it myself likely won't give me new insights, I'd love to hear your thoughts

I think the lighter vest looks better in both cases. It complements the grey suit really well
The blue vest is jarring to me. Too much contrast
Not sure where you are and what's available to you but I think you could find better fitting suits (especially trousers which seem too slim/small for you).
I think anthracite/deep navy would be very good options both for a formal event like your wedding (congratulations!) and for future use. 3 piece is a great way to take it up a notch formality wise but I'd stick to same color of suit and without any pattern (contrast is acceptable, i.e. light grey/pearl, but would limit reusability).
Oh yea these were not made to fit, these were items they had in the store that will be ordered MTM (assuming I'm using the term correctly, I'm not that familiar with tailoring and English is not my first language; also I'm in mainland Europe for context)
