Domain Registrar Transfer – Clarification on Downtime and DNS Zones
Change Domain Registrar
Hello everyone, I need some guidance and clarification regarding the transfer of our domain registrar from GoDaddy to Cloudflare.
Currently, xyz.com is registered with GoDaddy, but we use Cloudflare's DNS to manage it. Additionally, certain subdomains have separate DNS zones. For example, we have an NS record for email.xyz.com in Cloudflare DNS, and to resolve its records, a DNS zone is set up in Azure containing all related entries (e.g., img.email.xyz.com).
Could anyone confirm if any action is required for these DNS zones during the registrar transfer? Also, is there any potential risk of downtime during this process?
