Serious system instability with Gamescope

Hey, not sure if this is something caused by KCD2 as it's the only thing I've played since I've gotten Bazzite 3 days ago, but I've been experiencing some serious instability since yesterday. Twice the entire OS GUI crashed (black screen, all apps close). Other than that, applications have been freezing graphically (sound & function works normally, but graphics is in some way absolutely fucked), not being able to open new applications (Firefox REFUSES to open new window), etc.. Beyond a few apps/games, OS is almost default settings. Played KCD2 2 days ago through Steam and it went fine-ish, no crashes, but was having a weird bug where apps would stop responding to LMB/RMB. I was advised to try Gamescope, and while it did fix that concrete issue, the stability has been absolutely terrible.
Attached a screenshot of what opening Steam can look like when it bugs. Quitting the game and/or restarting the frozen app fixes the issue. KCD 2 launch options: gamescope -W 2560 -H 1440 -f --force-grab-cursor -- %command% Bazzite version: Desktop, Nvidia, Plasme KDE System Info: Operating System: Bazzite 41 KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.10.0 Qt Version: 6.8.1 Kernel Version: 6.12.12-203.bazzite.fc41.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor Memory: 33.5 GB of RAM Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 Manufacturer: ASUS

As a siderant/sanity check: is this kind of instability/jank sort of par for the course with an Nvidia GPU on Linux or am I just really unlucky? I've been dealing with frankly too many issues for these past 3 days considering literally all I want to do is: play a game while watching a video on my second monitor. The game has Platinum rating on ProtonDB so it feels like it's a real struggle to perform even the BEST case scenario. It's just really disheartening as this is my first gander into the world of Linux and it's a little jarring to be dealing with so much.

nvidia can be fun and games. Small driver updates can have weird issues. Try a rebase to an older version of bazzite by opening the terminal and running brh rebase stable-41.20250127 More information on bazzite-rollback-helper here https://docs.bazzite.gg/Installing_and_Managing_Software/Updates_Rollbacks_and_Rebasing/bazzite_rollback_helper/

The idea here is you've been having issues for the last 3 days. So lets try something a little older and see if it improves anything To switch back to the latest stable release, you'd need to run brh rebase stable

The reason it’s three days Is because Ive had Bazzite for 3 days :NotLikeThis: But the idea seems good, so I’ll try nonetheless

Also are you on the bazzite-nvidia image or the bazzite-nvidia-open image? ideally if you have anything newer than an nvidia gtx 1600 you might have a better time on the bazzite-nvidia-open image. You can rebase to that with bhr rebase bazzite-nvidia-open:stable

I'm on bazzite-nvidia-open
