When booting, i get error along the lines of Modules.Storage Failed with status 1
i have tried reimaging the drive multiple times with ventoy, rufus, and balena and none of them worked

Is this booting the installation media?

When you download the ISO did you check the checksum of what you downloaded? Sounds a little like a corrupt ISO file
first time i booted it worked, then the install froze on flatpaks, so i restarted, now it never boots again.
now it says security?
i really dont wanna download that image again
it took so long to download
just booted with check media
it says fail

i guess i do have to redownload the image.

Before you re-download, it might be worth checking the checksum of the iso with the one on the website
That takes about 5 minutes. If it matches then you might have a different problem entirely
Also have you tried a different USB flash drive?
im just gonna redownload, its probs just the image (SOMEHOW) becoming bad.
i dont have other flashdrives
its also a sandisk that has never failed me

Do you have another computer? You could check if the installer boots on another pc?

The "steamdeck" ISO is just the bazzite-deck.iso which works on pretty much any AMD hardware.
i only have a pc with nvidia gpu
so nah
either way im just gonna redownload and in 40-50 minutes update with either success or defeat

installer does not need internet
by the time you get to steam gamemode and asked to connect, steam will be running and you have the steam virtual keyboard
and one more question, how long is the install process normally
because i have been at the deployment starting step for a long time.
the deployment stage is like 95% of the install
as long as the spinner is spinning its doing its job
just dont install on a harddrive
there are also some really bad ssds out there that do not enjoy atomic systems

and its not an archive file so you can track individual files as they get unpacked

steam+x doesnt work in desktop
did you finish the steam setup on first boot?
also check if the desktop layout in steam is set to you know, the desktop layout
as steam has to be running for the keyboard to function
even in gamescope

steam --> settings --> controller --> desktop layout --> change to desktop layout because steam probably set it to disabled

Yeah that should work, that's entirely powered by Steam
We don't even have a hand in the controller input aspect of that, that's steam as well
