TDP randomly drops during gaming
I've had a long standing issue on bazzite on my legion go where tdp will suddenly drop during game play, causing the game to lag. The legion go will then shut off unless I manually change the tdp to a different wattage and back, which temporarily fixes the issue. This happens regardless of using hhd for tdp or simpledeckytdp. Using the legion+Y shortcut during these events invariably causes the machine to shut off.
Is this a known issue? I'm on the latest firmware.

Hey all I really could use some help with this. Been a bazzite user from basically the beginning.
It's called overheating and clean your fan
Only 200 threads about it
If it were overheating why would adjusting the tdp fix it for a random amount of time?
If it were overheating, it would be reproducible. It's not.
It even happens on games that are set to like 12w tdp...
It is, you say it happens all the time
It usually doesn't at least on the new bios
The fan curves are too low on all the presets
Anyway it's a Lenovo mechanism
To me reproducible means you can give a stimulus x and expect a response y. It happens frequently but unpredictably, hence the loose language of "all the time." Happens at different tdps and at different lengths of time. I will try adjusting the fan curves.
Appreciate the response.
Set to 30w, game for 3 minutes
Once I put it on manual fan curve looks like I can game at 30 watts no issues! Thanks for the help.
