Styling coated denim (is it too loud?)
So I got a pair of these pants at my job for a really good price, but I’m not really sure if they’re too much like leather pants. They’re not nearly as shiny and don’t feel like leather pants, but I just wonder if it’s too rockstar-ish or show off-y because that’s not really the aesthetic I’d go for https://www.ebay.com/itm/305535606641
(For context I’ve only posted in #wywt once but I tend to be more understated, I go incorporating some like biker and military aesthetics sometimes and also look at Blur and the Strokes for inspiration a little)

and if these weren't decently priced and convenient to get would you actively buy them?
For the last one no tbh, I bought them bc I figured I’d take them home and see if I could style them with anything and return them if not
This was trying something out with them (did the crouching to show it was coated)
Would send the fitting room picture but I lifted my shirt up to see how it fit on the waist and that feels weird to share
Im not home rn so ill be brief, with the strokes I like that they’re eclectic and a little edgy (I wouldn’t go for the super out there looks) and with Blur it’s kinda harder to describe but sorta similar white drawing on mod aesthetics with other aspects thrown in
black skinny jeans are going to stand out to a degree because they're not as trendy as they were in the mid 2010s with slp aesthetic all over the place
if you enjoy that kind of vibe then i would lean into it with the styling (graphic tees with jungle jackets, loud prints, double rider jackets) just know you might get a few questioning looks especially online
if not i'd return them; imo if you can't envision yourself wearing those pants they're not worth the price, however low it may be
Yeah I think I might do that, the other option is sell them bc the msrp is over twice what I paid but idk how high the demand is

Ngl I kinda like going against what’s popular so the skinny I don’t mind, more the shininess
But I’ll probably return, who knows maybe it’ll get marked down even more
