adding a kernel module to my image

Hello, I am a long time Linux user, but I've only just started playing around with Bazzite. I want to be able to use the new-lg4ff driver on my installation. I understand from this issue (https://github.com/ublue-os/bazzite/issues/901) that there isn't any trivial way to build this. I want to give making a custom image a try. Does ublue or anyone else have any guides or docs for doing this?

I would be interested in knowing about this as well. I have a logitech wheel and currently playing BeamNG on Linux with a wheel is kinda lackluster because of the force feedback on it.
