Ohh, ok. Then most likely windows is blocking the install.
If you need a UI, live boot a distro like Linux Mint off of USB, and use the disk manager for to wipe all the partitions before attempting to install Bazzite.

There is a way to wipe the partitions via Bazzite installer, but it might not let you. Bazzite's installer, anaconda, kinda sucks

I had a bitlocker issue when I tried installing bios on my ally x. It was super annoying.
Ended up having to wipe windows with Asus cloud recovery and only then was able to install Bazzite.
How did you get rid of it

So what I did. Was I booted into bios. You need to fully power off the device and then boot it up. While booting rapidly mash the up volume key. It will pop up with a boot menu. Select bios or system settings or whatever it says that isn't the flash drive/windows.
Once it's loaded up find the option for Asus cloud recovery. And run it.
Asus cloud recovery is a built in utility that allows you to reinstall Windows with an Internet connection in the event of a catastrophic loss of your OS now you don't need to fully complete cloud recovery just get to s point where it deletes windows. And then reboot into USB. Problem solved
I should point out you will lose all data in your windows installation doing this.
But if it's the same situation as me you have little choices. In my case running the Bazzite installer and getting the drive scribe error corrupted my windows installation, so my device was essentially bricked
This is a random solution, but if you have a ps5(or another pc) you can slap the drive in there and format it completely, then you wont get the device is active error. Alternatively using the cloud recovery and just quitting it out after it gets to the windows install.

The manage bitlocker popped up once then I accidentally exit out of it and now don’t pop up
try rebooting maybe? honestly i would just do the recovery mode method if i was you. go into bios by tapping volume down while powering up, look for Asus cloud recovery and go all the way through it until you get to windows first setup screen, then just reboot back into bios and bazzite shouldn't say device is active anymore

Should be good. May need to disable fast boot possibly, in bios. But device active error usually is caused by device being in hibernation rather than fully shut down. Which is why you hold shift and shutdown because that makes it fully shutdown.
Worst case scenario we might need to disable fast boot.
But even if that's the case and it doesn't work first time around device encryption is turned off so bitlocker won't get triggered again
