Is my hair goofy?

Ok so for the most part I’m liking my hair (stuck with a 2012 Justin Bieber type of hair for 10+ years) but I have some things I want to improve. I’ve been aiming to grow my hair to achieve a similar style to Patrick Bateman’s (edgy, I know). However, my hair is falling a lot (already on medication for this) so the side and back parts grow really well, while the top stays very fine, so I feel my hair isn’t very even. Also, I really like to pass my hands through it on the sides, it gives a flowier effect, but on the front it sticks out a little on both sides, but if I feel like if I put it down it looks like I have no volume, any solutions for this? Normally I use powder from Slick Gorilla or some brand named like that. Appreciate the help! P.s.: decades of using the same hairstyle made me think that I have a big forehead. I’m delusional, right?

best thing to do is ask your salon or barber for styling and product tips your hair looks totally fine fwiw. if youre struggling with the sides there are a few ways to handle them. one thing i recommend is letting the hair dry on the sides combed straight down, and then comb and style it back afterwards. it helps it drape closer to your head i have no clue what slick gorilla hair powder is but it sounds like it is volumizing which im not sure is what you want for the sides of your hair. most ppl are probably using gels, pomade, creams, etc but again i would just talk to your hair ppl about this

thank you, this helps me a lot already! yeah, i normally just use the powder because i dont like the fact that gels and creams make the hair even more fine throughout the day, alongside its natural oilyness and the powder really helps with that. im going to cut my hair today to see what i can change, but was having second thoughts when i posted this. when im there ill figure if i can do smth to improve

just be open with them about what you want your hair to look like, what is bothering you about how your hair is working, products, etc explain how you usually style it and ask what they would recommend if they aren't helpful or dont have the patience for it i would see someone else but most places will be willing to talk through it with you im super open with my stylist about what is and isnt working and have been seeing the same guy for five yrs now

yeah, ive only been to this one once and i really liked him, he seems to have the patience to help out, i just wasnt sure if i wanted to go there to ask questions and at the end deciding to stay with the same cut and essentially wasting his time lol
