Just trying to get RGB and buttons to work on the AYANEO Kun.
Just moving our conversation over here so we can troubleshoot tomorrow. I don’t want to keep being a bother.

@antheas
@TeamRetrogue send a bug report from handheld daemon
thanks, you dont need to do anything else on your end
ill be in touch when this is fixed
Ah gotcha. Thanks.
Switch to testing from the update menu on handheld daemon and try
Ok will do once I get home from work.
@antheas Hmm controller not working at all now.
send a handheld daemon log?
ah shit
kernel patch might be busted
go back to stable
Yikes ok
the kernel module supported the kun, it just had a typo
but if it cant find the controller anymore maybe its a fluke and it happened once randomly
Gotcha. I'm back in stable.
it works?
Yeah
Just back to the way it was before.
maybe you want to try testing once more, otherwise you'll get no RGB anytime soon
because i will revert it
up to you and your risk tolerance
I'll give it another go.
Yeah 41.20250203.2 Isn't working.
give me one second theres a change something blew up
because they made some other changes
you might want to try the version from yesterday
No worries. Ok will do.
actually
before you do
can you do commands manually?
Yeah I think so
try to write to the rgb manually
In HHD or in Konsole?
konsole
Ok what command do I need?
something with multichassis
do
ls /sys/class/leds/
echo "0 0 255" | sudo tee /sys/class/leds/ayaneo:rgb:joystick_rings/multi_intensity
this should make them blue, but maybe the kun is multizoneIt didn't work.
The command was accepted. Just no lights.
ok, thanks, we will revert it then
you good now on stable?
Yeah all good. 🙂 No worries I can wait until it's sorted.
i mean yeah but you arent getting rgb lol
we're reverting this little goodie
the EC of the device getting screwy and the controller not turning on is not what i like to see
Yeah I'd rather a working device than RGB lol.
