Best way to store a belt without damaging it/causing issues long term?

Got myself a new, handmade belt and want to make sure I store it in a way that won’t cause issues long term. Is just wrapping it around itself the best way?

I've got some hooks on the wall and place the buckle on the hooks. No big deal. No harm done. The leather conditioning maintenance is something to look up.

I hang mine by the buckle on the inside of my cupboard door.

Hanger has 12 hooks (6 per side). Can easily hold multiple belts per hook.

Hanging them straight is a must for reptile belts, which are more susceptible to damage when folded. On cowhide and scale less leathers hanging is favourable but also folding works, if it's not too tight.
