Steam games load black or white screen, but game is actually running

TLDR; I'm running Bazzite with Steam OS like experience on and I'm seeing a black screen but I can hear the game and interact with it blindly. Hey all, I've been enjoying gamjng on the steam deck for a while now and I just built a pc just the other day. I wanted to try Linux gaming since the SD runs it pretty ok, I am aware that Bazzite is not Steam OS so experience is different. I set it all up and trying to load a game, got an error about visual c++. "Ah right, protons" I enabled them, and the game turns on but it's just a black screen. I can hear the game and even the sound effects for mousing over clickables but it's not giving visual feedback. I'm a bit lost, so maybe someone might have knowledge on this? I'm running a Ryzen 5700GT, Intel Arc B580, 32GB Ram Wanted to try Linux gaming but I think it's giving me a headache lol

Hey. I'm another B580 user. It's just not that good on Linux yet. The drivers aren't nearly as mature as they are on Windows. I have so many games that won't work with the B580 on Linux that do work with the B580 on Windows or with my AMD laptop on Linux Which game are you playing?

Trying anything honestly and a variety Abiotic Factor FF14 Batman Arkham series Lunacid Even Balatro Part of me is thinking it might have been the GPU, not saying that its broken but I may have not been.... connected? If that makes any sense. I was trying to monitor it, and I got data but nothing suggesting its being used properly. I did unfortunately swap to windows 11... for now. I am just out of personal time (work, house repairs, life stuff) and I went with what I know, yet dislike the most. I'll come back to linux when I have more free time, building this thing has wore me out and I'd just like to game for at least this weekend. Could be worse.... could be on a Mac. So how do you think the B580 is performing for you? I am just starting to game right now, so I'm hoping to go from like 20 fps to at least 50 lol Mmm! Terarria ran well, but that comes in linux if I'm not mistaken (I'll delete/close this question after the morning)

B580 is good enough for the gaming I do at 1440p but the 6.12 kernel drivers for it aren't that good compared to the Windows ones
