Nemo file manager installed via boxbuddy has no icon
As per the image, the middle program using the default Wayland icon is the Nemo file browser, and I'm not sure why it's not using a proper icon. I tested GIMP under the same box and that icon works fine.

Sometimes clearing the .cache folder in your home folder helps with fixing stuff like that. You need to press CTRL+H to show hidden folders before you can see it.
Just cleared it but no luck I'm afraid.
and in the launcher menu the icon is showing up or not?
Shows fine in the menu
Let me see if I can reproduce your issue. What distrobox are you using? Fedora?
Yes
When you export the nemo application it looks like it makes 3 launchers in ~/.local/share/applications and it looks like the icon is getting set by the fedora-nemo-autorun-software.desktop file. So if you change the icon of the fedora-nemo-autorun-software.desktop file then the icon works correctly
