I've never read it, and I dislike the name. The original publishing is 2005, there have been updates since then. I don't personally buy programming language books as a learning resource for a number of reasons: - cost - reliability of information - audience mismatch (beginning vs intermediate vs pro for instance) - the material rapidly ages out - Published errata later on These problems aren't exclusive to programming books either, I just feel like the embodiment of these problems and the consequences thereof is of a higher degree with books. There are some exceptions likely, people are great fans of https://prodotnetmemory.com/ and others Some books are arguably terrible. Of some fame is the "yellow book" which has a number of hot takes like always ignore the zeroth index of an array. All that being said, if you like learning from books this book, visual c#, has a number of editions, I'd try to ensure you're getting the most recent edition, or the edition most relevant to your circumstances.
