..?
Is it e?
(iii)
resonance
ah but (v) also has resonance
yep
reasoning ?
okay i think its (v)
if i'm correct then its because in (iii), the second resonating structure has + and - charges on carbons
in (v), the minus charge will be on an oxygen
which is an electronegative element
negative charges are more stable on more EN elements
i'm looking at the other resonating structure for this
Conjucation with O
E because of negative charge on O as Nimboi said
Any sort of qualitative resonance defeats quantitative resonance
Negative charge on more electronegative atoms >>>> amount of conjugation
alr got it
thanxx
