Lutris can't see my drive/mountpoint

I checked with steam and I could see both locations for my 2 partitions that i made using this guide.
Did everything and command didnt return any output.
At first lutris saw only 1 location for the 2 drives i had made mountpoints for.
Then i checked KDE partition manager and somehow one of the drives that lutris didnt see had a different mounting again. i unmount, and re-applied the same settings that were still in there. and apply.
Then in lutris now I see NO other locations that i made. eventhough i only re-applied the drive/mnt point that was missing. Very strange. I still see the drives in dolphin. and both mnt points are seen within steam storage...

handy options I see

it should just see the folder
wdym by lutris cannot see the drive
first one of my other drives showed up there
now only boot drives
none of my game drives
you need to go to the folder manually

The mount point options look a bit weird. The options usually start with "defaults,"

i made a typo on one of the drives i typed default instead of defaults. and i got error
then i corrected my mistake and reapplied
why are you not copy pasting lol, also you can fix it in fstab directly i guess

Why is lutris so blind
Changing the storage setting in Lutris config works for me. Note that I manually made the Games/Lutris folder
I am in that screen i navigate locations but my drives are still not there... so how can I add them there
Also i have 2 drives i need things to load from
so i'd have to switch...
You can worry about getting the second location to work after you get the first one working. You can type in that field. Just paste the full path of the folder that you want to use

Looking at this it's "/var/mnt/games/" or "/var/mnt/games2"

the folder points to your drive
linux uses everything is a folder/file as philosophy lol
If I go here
and navigate to /var/mnt/games2/F1 Pro Games/Assassin's Creed Odyssey/ACOdyssey.exe
Then id be on my other drive\
eventhough the GUI makes you think you are on your os drive....

btw you can mount drive in any folder
but /var/mnt is the preferred location
i think they detect /var/run/media
its the default location for stuff like usb drive
btw you can right click the games2 folder and bookmark it
it will show up in the sidebar

I got my GAME running! the screen is EXTREMELy small though
like huge black bars bottom and top

If i change to borderless/windowed it gives me normal screen
yeah fullscreen/borderless is also kind of weird in linux, most should work fine but there are some apps that doesnt play nice
you can use gamescope to fix that
i rebooted and enabled gamehud and hdr. now game seems frozen on loading screen. how do i kill the instance?

but it wont close

but my game still is open.../frozen

i opend the game again.. now i have a second instance..
but the first instance wont go away.....
i press "leave" logout from bazzite. and it wont even let me logout...
hold WIN+CTRL+ESC and your icon changes and you can force close any window that you click on

Seems when I enable "mangohud" for my fps... the game will freeze and hang š¦
but now when disable mangohud, instead "it goes into infinite loading" when I go into new game
not actual freeze, i still hear audio, see logo animating...

You could try running
ujust fix-proton-hang it should terminate all proton/wine processes
