Where are they getting that equation from? 4 - alpha / 6 - alpha = 10/8 the slope of AB isn't given

Slope of BC is found out By using reflection of A in angle bisector and C And then B must be of the form (α, α) because it lies on y=x

without knowing the line equation of BC, how would i know that (6,4) lies on it

It's a theorem. The reflection of any vertex of a triangle through either of the angle bisectors not passing through it lies on the side of the triangle opposite to it.

oh what that sounds like some niche theorem they found and decided it would be nice for 2 questions

Its been asked several times before.

my initial thought was that since 2AB = BC i'd equate the distances to find alpha, but that turned into a huge mess well ok ill look it up thanks +solved @Opt
