Frame Limit with Xreal Air Glasses?

Hey everyone! I’m trying to set a frame limit on games while using the XReal Air glasses on my ROG Ally X, but I’m having trouble doing it. When I open the Quick Access Menu, I only see options for 60/30/15/12 FPS. I want to set my game to 40 or 45 FPS, but those options aren’t available. I’ve tried creating a MangoHud config file with the frame limit and launching the game with the ‘—Mangoapp’ launch argument, but this method doesn’t seem to work. I’ve also tried using the launch argument ‘gamescope -r 45’, but that doesn’t make a difference either. Does anyone have any ideas how I can set a custom frame limit while using the XReal Air? I can set a custom frame limit using the built-in screen on the ROG Ally X, but I can’t do it with the XReal Air. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You can't unfortunately. You can use a mangohud launch command but you will get uneven frame times Tearing support is not that good

I saw that MANGOHUD_CONFIG="fps_limit=48,no_display" MANGOHUD=1 %command% Launch command works, and apparently it does! Regarding the tearing issue, can this be resolved using the frame delivery method in the mango hud launch command (early/late) to mitigate the problem, isn’t it?

It's not mangohuds fault Gamescope does not support tearing well

So even with the FPS limit method, it won’t somewhat resolve the tearing issue?

Press allow tearing just know it might not work And you might get uneven frame times That's all

Setting it to late is supposed to give the best achievable frame times I will try it, thanks! Just a quick question, what will enabling allow tearing do exactly to help? Won’t it make it more teary?

You want tearing Otherwise half of the frames will be at 30hz and half at 60hz

Got it, and then try and enable vsync in the game options or not? Also, Mangohud has vsync options. Can that help?

Vsync always works Problem is disabling it does not a lot of the time
