Looking for help with disabling CSM to enable secure boot
Hiya, I'm looking to enable secure boot in order to play val again but am unsure if I will need to reformat and reinstall windows if I want to disable CSM first or if it is more straightforward? Thank you!!

You don’t need to reformat
But before that
Press windows key + r
Type msinfo32
And show ss
okay thank you so much for helping me
these are some of the relevant settings in bios
Alright first disable csm
And then save and exit
And enter bios again
I'm guessing I ignore the notice about pci-e storage?
What notice?
Yeah just click ok on that
Once it’s disabled
save and exit
And enter bios again
righty ho
okay I'm in
Ok now go to secure boot
mhm
Solution
Change “OS type” to “Windows UEFI”
open key management and show ss
set them all to factory?
nvm it's different to the video I watched
It’s all already there
Now save and exit
yes boss
Once you’re in windows
Press windows key + r
Type msinfo32
And show ss
in system information it says secure boot state is on so is that it all ready to go
oh
Ok
Now try the game
it's looking good! thank you so so so much stranger
can I be an even bigger bother and ask why some people say to disable csm you need to reinstall windows etc?
just out of curiosity
That’s the first time I’m hearing of that :val_PepeShrug:
oh, nevermind then :val_Bedge:
