Steam virtual keyboard "AltGr" key not working in Desktop mode (KDE Bazzite Wayland)

Hi there, I have the issue mentioned in the title. I'm using the stable steam branch. Regardless of which layout I set in Gaming mode (or in KDE) the steam keyboard can't type characters requiring AltGr combinations. Testing it with "wev" only single "tab" characters are being sent to the os when typing. In Gaming mode it works, and in Desktop mode, physical keyboards and Maliit can use special characters, it only seems to affect the built-in Steam one. I made a kinda horrible hack to restore the X11 session in the latest Bazzite release and it seems like the AltGr keys are working again on the steam virtual keyboard. Does anyone have an idea if this can be resolved, or I just have to wait until SteamOS desktop also begins using wayland and Valve fixes their keyboard? This might not be something that can be resolved in bazzite, but because it seems like a niche issue I think this kinda FYI post at least helpful for anyone else making sure they've not gone mad.

Found a lead, The steam executable uses extest on bazzite to fix the keyboard for wayland. So the workaround will probably have to come from extest or valve, others have reported the same issue: https://github.com/Supreeeme/extest/issues/9 The sent "tab" comes from an internal mapping in the library from the unknown key code 156->Tab
