Need help deciding on a budget refurbished PC
I am going to get a small refurbished PC to run a personal fabric Minecraft server with few content mods like Create and around 12 players. Maybe some heavier server later on. But I have narrowed down 2 budget options on Amazon and would like some opinions on them, as for me they are the exact same price, or if I should go with something else.
Option 1: https://www.amazon.com/HP-EliteDesk-Hexa-Core-Bluetooth-DisplayPort/dp/B0CHWPQNGF?pd_rd_w=yTOHC&content-id=amzn1.sym.cd152278-debd-42b9-91b9-6f271389fda7&pf_rd_p=cd152278-debd-42b9-91b9-6f271389fda7&pf_rd_r=SP2DYM6RXBWKTEW881Y1&pd_rd_wg=IeedR&pd_rd_r=079fd9ba-f638-40d6-8e58-5baf18e24abe&pd_rd_i=B0CHWPQNGF
Option 2: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Optiplex-3060-i3-8100T-Win11Pro/dp/B0BTTZ4KBW?_encoding=UTF8&pf_rd_r=Z5KH17PWWT54XXHJ80D7&pf_rd_p=4e1b46a8-daf9-4433-b97e-d6df97cf3699&pd_rd_i=B0BTTZ4KBW&pd_rd_w=kEMJr&pd_rd_wg=2fVHS&pd_rd_r=d64111db-8095-460f-8f9b-c9e428ccac46&content-id=amzn1.sym.4e1b46a8-daf9-4433-b97e-d6df97cf3699&th=1
If you will advise getting something else please let me know (Looking for something that will ship to Greece).
Any other advice regarding running a fabric server I will also take.

the mini PCs like that use laptop components (cpu and ram) instead of desktop components. They have no PCIe expansion either.
I'd probably recommend this over either of those.

The one I linked doesn't contain an SSD, you'd have to buy one yourself (like a crucial P3 )...

Basic bootup speeds won’t cut it — not at work, on the go, or in the game. But the Crucial P3 SSD is anything but basic. With NVMe performance that’s nearly 5x faster than SATA and nearly 20x faster than HDD2, the P3 leaves older storage technology in the dust. With sequential read/write speeds u...

also, if you get sent something faulty, I've had a way easier time contacting the seller on ebay vs amazon.
For SFF used office PCs, I've generally found Amazon pricing to be higher than eBay and others. If you have access to eBay or local marketplaces, it may be worthwhile to check there for other offerings.
Also worthwhile to be mindful that there are limitations as result of the form factor... It might not matter much for Minecraft servers, but if you want to do other stuff with it in the future, you might be limited as result of the form factor
I have a small fleet of 8 SFF Optiplex 5080s that are way under utilized because I was hoping to build local LLM lab but there aren't many GPUs that can go into these machines 😦
who needs a lid on them? Just take off the lids
ez
lol, while at it, may as well also take angle grinder to cut the back edge of case so the GPU ports doesn't get sliced off 😂
Thanks for the tips 👍
