which IDE should I use for java ?

Eclipse , netbeans , apache netbeans , bluej , intelliJ idea community edition , JDeveloper , JGrasp , Myeclipse, Sublime Text, VS Code (with Java Extensions) , Clojure with Java Support (Cursive) , Codenvy , JCreator, Replit , Xcode , Android Studio vs Kdevelop which editor should I choose for java ? Which one is the best ?

Use Eclipse or IntelliJ, whatever you prefer I personally like Eclipse more, some other people here like IntelliJ more

you might be asking the wrong person (as I said, I'm using Eclipse) but ig IntelliJ might be less overwhelming when you aren't used to it and the UI looks more modern

I'm using both Eclipse and IntelliJ right now, and I can't find any reason why IntelliJ might be better than Eclipse in terms of features. The only downside is that IntelliJ has a better UI than Eclipse, but apart from that, there's no disadvantage.

Other than eclipse can SOMETIMES be a lil buggy but then we could argue IntelliJ can be buggy too but again its all personal preference as Sir Daniel states...
