Is there a mod similar to cartograph that doesnt lag out the game as much?
We are running a server and it looks like cartograph is causing our server to crash every 3 hours and now when we start the server up it instantly crashes, we removed the mod but its one of our favourite mods since it gives the map so much detail. So is there any mods that are similar.

We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced in #help-using-mods. This ensures that your help request won't get buried and forgotten in other, non-help channels!

Sorry but we dont have any log file anymore since we deleted the mod, but from what I remember its because we had a lot of people building at the same time and cartographer was updating constantly causing the server cpu usage to spike a lot. Also when we updated cartographer to 0.8.3 it crashed immediatly. We also have a sugestion if there was a cartograph mod for servers lets say "cartograph lite" where the map only updates when the server is turned on/restarted.
Well the message tells you how to get the old log files. Even if you don't have that anymore, you could reinstall it one time to get the log, I can't do anything if I don't even have the log 🤷♂️
And this is the first time I'm getting such report, I don't think it worth my time making that 'light' mod
