System Takes multiple minutes to boot, fails to mount, keyboard and/or mouse not working

Hi everyone, I recently installed Bazzite for the first time, since I want to test my options, once Win 10 is running out of support. I followed the install instructions from the website and everything seemed to go fine. But now the system takes forever to boot, when I press Esc I can see multiple errors, Softlocks by the CPU, and even the system failing to mount the boot drive. However, given enough time, the system manages to go into emergency mode and can put me on the desktop, sometimes the keyboard does not work, sometimes the mouse doesn't. I checked the install medium before installing, it gave back no errors. I got the image from the official website and have used Fedora Media writer to flash the USB stick. I'm a total noob at Linux, have only tried Mint for a day and Bazzite for a couple of hours. Thanks for your help in advance!

I haven't had that happen to me. What hardware are you using? And what version of Bazzite are you running (you can find this out by running rpm-ostree status in the terminal)?

Well, one week later, tried a reinstall, still have the same problem. I'm running a RZ7 7800x3d, 7900 XTX, MSI B650, 2x16GB RAM, the system boots from some noname 1TB SSD. There is an nvme in the system which houses Windows. Linux has all of the SSD for itself. EDIT: Tried to fix the system with a live USB stick, got into trouble shoot and it fails to detect a system. Wasn't able to get into Desktop today, since the keyboard never worked once I was on the login screen.

I'd try a different flavor of Linux and see if you can get something up and running. I'd try Nobara or ChimeraOS. See if you have the same problems. If not drive either of those two for a while. You can always try Bazzite again later

I've tried Mint before, there I had massive problems with my network drivers not loading properly. Also my sound card would not work. Isn't the idea of Linux that everything should work, if you just set it right? I don't think that my hardware is outlandish or exotic.

It depends, ethernet/wi-fi issues is a common issue on Linux it depends if the drivers included in the work properly or not for the device. In many scenarios everything just works. But sometimes you are unlucky.
