Installation failure, 2 different errors
Hello,
An off-and-on project of mine has been an HTPC for my living room over the last 3 weeks, and unfortunately I've been stuck on the OS for the last 2 of those. When installing bazzite, I encounter different errors during the installation.
I'm trying to install
bazzite-deck:41
( stable )
Firstly, these are the machine's specs:
To note, I've turned off Secure Boot in BIOS ( because I also tried installing ChimeraOS, which also didn't work ).
If I try to install on a fully-erased ssd, I get the first pic. If I try to install again, before fully wiping the ssd, I get the second pic. When I wipe it, I go back to the first error.
Any help would be appreciated!3 Replies
The download of your ISO was probably not complete. If you calculate the checksum for the ISO I suspect that it will not match the one on the website.
The second error you getting is when you try and re-install, you'll get the code 1 error because the Fedora folder already exists in the EFI partition.
does the EFI partition not get erased along with everything else when I go into gparted and mark every partition on the disk as unallocated?
i've re-downloaded the iso and i'm trying again, but getting the second error, but beforehand I boot up a gparted iso I have and clear out all the allocated partitions on the disk I'm installing to
No idea how you are getting the second error if the disk is clear. Maybe something else also causes the code 1 error
