This means i cant change location for the instal

SMM queries the APIs of the EPIC and Steam game store apps to determine where your game is. If you moved its location after installation manually, your installer client will not know where it is. You will need to reinstall your game through your store client so that it is in a known location. This will not affect your saves.
No not the game
The mod manager in general does not want to install
All files are deleted yet it insists its on a drive thats laying on the floor currently
Space magic?
I cant install it for myself at all only for ALL users wich is only me
Seems pretty broken
@Mircea (Area Actions), sorry for the ping, do you have any clue? thanks
You can delete these registry keys (if they exist)
So in the installer if i click install for all users it works
Not for my own
Im the only user on this computer wich is weird but it does work
Yeah, the difference between per user and all users isn't that all users runs the installer for everyone, but the location in which it is installed. Per user places it in the user-only programs by default (
%localappdata%\Programs
), and all users installs it to Program Files (by default)
And because they are installed in different locations, the installer stores the install dir in different registry keys (1 or 3 for all users, 2 or 4 for per-user)
So for all users it doesn't find an existing install, so it treats it as a fresh install, while the per-user one finds the registry key for the per-user install that points to a nonexistent dir, but it doesn't know that the dir doesn't exist
I think I found a way to make the installer check that, will add it in the next release
