Is there a way to intuitively know what the smaller part is instead of having to calculate both areas?

Here they said the smaller part is 2 * {area of OACO + area of CABC}

And the function is even so basically integrate over the first qudrant the whole thing and multiply by 2. Wait I didn't get the doubt, is it for general graphs or this specific one?
