Audio Help needed for Ayaneo Air 1s 7840U
Hi Guys, after scouring the web for Audio fixes for Ayaneo Air 1s I have come back here for help. Here are the following things that I have tried so far:
- Running ujust install-sound-firmware
- Tried the RPM package installation as mentioned in this walkthrough (https://docs.bazzite.gg/Handheld_and_HTPC_edition/Handheld_Wiki/Ayaneo_Handhelds/)
- download the audio firmware file from Ayaneo website for Air 1s (non 8840) and ran this command: sudo cp awinic_smartk_acf.bin /usr/local/firmware/aw87xxx_acf_air1s.bin
- followed the troubleshooting steps from another post for Ayaneo Air 1s audio issue from 11/28/24:
// delete the 2 text files and run this
//
So far I have gone from audio not working to audio only working on the right speaker to no audio again. Any and all help is appreciated. I am also currently on the latest Bazzite version (Fedora 41) and dual booting win 11 on Ayaneo Air 1S 7840U

Run the firmware ujust and reboot
Post a log from handheld daemon
It will contain the speaker firmware name
Meaning running ujust install-sound-firmware? It said all the files already exists since I ran it multiple times during trouble shooting. But I can do it again, where do I get the logs for the handheld daemon from?
@antheas Here is the log from handheld daemon
Looks like the log says it’s loading the AWINIC firmware as per this screenshot.

NVM Guys. I had to completely remove Bazzite and install it back. Once installed I ran the ujust install-speaker-firmware and rebooted. To my surprise it worked after the reboot. However it took me three actual Bazzite reinstalls to achieve this. Because the device kept crashing in GRUB post Bazzite install. Had to repartition everything remove GRUB and reinstall Bazzite. Third time it worked.
