Should I buy a tux with budget of 200 or get a suit?
not sure if i should buy a jos a bank sale tux or use the 200 on a charcoal/medium grey or navy suit set.

do you have an event to wear a tux to immediately
if not i would prob get neither
Jos a banks isn't great, the money's better used put towards a better suit in the future
but 100 for a tux if you're in a pinch is hard to beat
just a dinner date for an anniversary
if this isn't a black tie mandatory event, i'd skip
skip both?
figured maybe a fancier place for dinner would be good but i can find the dress code
Unless the dress code specifies that you need to wear a suit/tux you’re probably gonna be better off putting together a nice outfit with what you have than buying a $200 suit/tux
a tux is too fancy to most fancy restaurants
i'd get a nice suit but make sure it gives fancy restaurant vibes rather than business meeting lunch vibes
i'd tbh focust on getting a nice shirt/trousers over a suit
yeah that's even better. you're sitting at the table anyways
any recommendations?
Can you wear a tux shirt and bowtie by itself
No I wouldn't do that
you can if you just carry around a garment bag to make it look like you're not wearing ur jacket on purpose
but yea i wouldn't do that
If i had the money id go to suitsupply or indochino but whats a good place off the rack?
depends where you are from
florida
I've never been to florida nor am I from the US but I would probably pick up a JW anderson x Uniqlo shirt and navy pleated chino's and get a blazer from abercrombie
maybe just abercrombie in general for that budget? they do a linen mix which might be nice in florida idk
you might also be able to catch a deal from the j.crew sale if it's still ongoing
seconding all the recommendations for a button up shirt/trouser if there's no specific dress code
