AB = AC = radius = 4 one way is to solve circle and line but that will be lenghty can we proceed from here , i cant think further

just solve the line and the circle man
SirLancelotDuLac
Why would that be lengthy? Minimum value occurs at perpendicular from (-1,0) while maximum would be the other extremity (C in the figure)

nothing you could do in situation yeah but seedha line and circle ko solve karke point nikal ke distance nikal lena will be easier ig
SirLancelotDuLac
(x+5)^2+y^2=4 and you have y=x+5. So y^2=2.

Or you could calculate the foot of perpendicular and the perpendicular distance ye bhi theek hai that would be kinda lengthy too but
SirLancelotDuLac
Nah just saying the end which is further from foot of perpendicular Will give maximum distance. If the point is somewhere it is not easy to visualize which is further Oh right my bad lol.

yeah i got that im saying ki foot of perpendicular wala point nikaal lo line pe and Find perpendicular distance on 1,0 from the line Then Pythagoras 🐴lots of ways to go by this
SirLancelotDuLac
True but the gist of everything is same.

yeah its a calculative question
SirLancelotDuLac
y=-sqrt(2) for the point we need. (-sqrt(2)-5,-sqrt(2)) is needed point.
