Minisforum V3 Linux Audio Fix
So basically I installed Bazzite on my minisforum V3 and everything works fine except the volume buttons which basically mute it or set it at max, I already tried the solution here: https://github.com/mudkipme/awesome-minisforum-v3?tab=readme-ov-file#workaround-for-global-volume-control-with-the-speaker, but I didn't even have the folder location so I tried to find "wireplumber.conf.d" folder and just drop it there and reboot the laptop, but after the reboot nothing changed and the file I dropped in got deleted. :/

if the folder does not exist and you are told to put it there, consider making it 🪄
problem solved
it is not there by default because it is empty by default
Also having the same issue on my v3, hence my post, but yea rebooting removes the file
a reboot does not delete the files in /etc
or in your homefolder
it will remove anything you did in /usr if you unlocked it
and there is no way to permanently unlock /usr because youre meant to use /etc so make the folder there
okay now i have no audio at all
then the wireplumber config makes pipewire crash, remove it or find out why it crashes pipewire
well now I deleted it and back to square 1
i do not own the hardware, only thing i can ask is did you follow what it said in the note?
and possibly edit the file to match the card
other than that i cant help
oh alr
I'll try to post the solution here if I find it for future people
you probably have to adjust the device in the file to match the one on your system, pipewire is most likely crashing because the one in the file does not exist, hence why there is a note about "hey you need to do this and edit the file if it does not work for you"
Hrm, looks like the original conf file was updated, and now it doesn't work? If you dig into the git history, you can pull the old conf file. It should work, I'm the one who originally figured out that workaround, tested it on my V3 tablet + Bazzite
