depends on the pants not on you
like what type of pants?
Yeah
I'm looking for high quality chino's to replace my bonobos. Maybe some other types. I think I'm good with denim and with those I've liked more high waisted.
what is your budget, location and willingness to shop online or secondhand?
well depends on your age i guess? gen z to millennials prefer a higher rise waist to further accentuate long legs or give the illusion of em
theres been a shift into mid rise jeans again
but i say yea thats a very specific look
if youre feeling lanky
thanks for the responses all. I am in Tokyo/Sapporo for work for a couple of months so looking to upgrade parts of my wardrobe. Millenial. Since I'm in Tokyo I'd prefer in person shopping
a good bootcut always can even out the proportions
what else do ik
if your looking to shorter the visual effects your proportions give
super wide pants and a big baggy top can give that short vibe
yk in a good way
like today i m baby kinda way
which pants rise doesnt matter anymore since the baggy top will cover it anyways
but if were talking functionally like where should pants rise? try em on, bring it up where you usually like and if your crotch (as a man) aint dying thats a good fit
i mean it could also be similar for a woman i wouldnt know
if you like high waisted look for a higher rise
no it doesn't
You’ve said a lot of words without really saying anything tbh
anyone can wear high rise pants regardless of their height/proportions. the answer to op's question is just to try on some high rise chinos and find what's comfortable
@ManuelCalavera if you provide a target budget people can drop suggestions of brands to try
what they literally were just asking for pants rise not recommendations but whatever i guess
I'm visiting Tokyo so high quality japan brands. I have a lot of raw denim already.
I was thinking buzz rickson but I haven't found a pair in my size yet
Orslow
Real McCoys probably has something
TRMC chinos are very nice
beamsPLUS is an option
on a slightly different bent, harvesty and sillage both have high waisted chinos, albeit with wider leg openings and shorter inseams
