Minecraft Bedrock - 99% of the way there, need help with config. Unifi-UDM home network
Hey there, I’m about 99% of the way there. I’ve got a home server running proxmox VMs for several services like Traefik V3, Authentik, Portainer, etc. I wanted to utilize some of my hardware to host a game server for my kids, so I have pterodactyl panel installed. I’ve got all the routing figured out so we can connect to the server on our home network. I recently upgraded my home network equipment to include a UniFi dream machine SE, Unifi Pro 24 port switch, and a Unifi 6 AP. I’ve got all my home networking where I want it, got all my services working. Now I want my kids to be able to play with their friends on our home server. So, I’m trying to get the server resolvable over the internet.
I’ve got a Pro subscription with Cloudflare, created a Spectrum app for Minecraft over port 25565 to my domain (which created a new “Spectrum” record in the DNS records looks like, at minecraft-br.domain.tld). I’m trying to set up port forwarding on my UDM so the traffic will come in to the correct port: Starting at the WAN port 25565 and routing to my Minecraft server at port 19123 (for bedrock).
I’ve tried every other combination I can think of, I just can’t get the game server to resolve through the subdomain that Spectrum set up in Minecraft. I’ve tried connecting in Minecraft to 25565 AND 19123, and it just won’t connect! Any help would be great! My google-fu is finding conflicting information and I’m not sure what to believe at this point.
