Can't configure external monitor on laptop
Heya fellas, I'm running bazzite-deck-nvidia on my MSI BRAVO 15 C7VEK with RTX4050 Mobile GPU. As stated in the title, I can't configure external monitor when using gaming mode, it will always display on my laptop display, despite following the guides on https://docs.bazzite.gg/Handheld_and_HTPC_edition/quirks/#how-do-i-specify-the-correct-monitor-for-gaming-mode-to-use-htpc-only

Here's my output of kscreen-doctor -o
so i tried creating the conf folder where i put
OUTPUT_CONNECTOR=HDMI-A-1
but still defaults back to laptop main display
even after configuring the monitor as my main display, returning to gaming mode still brings me to laptop display
So I tried troubleshooting by clean installation of deck-nvidia image, still doesn't work fyi
YOOOOO I FOUND THE FIX, Y'ALL NEED TO USE EXPORT-GPU SO GAMESCOPE CAN RENDER ON UR DGPU
cuz i set my display to dGPU so HDMI was routing display to NVIDIA card not the iGPU
but gamemode was using the iGPU which is why it doesnt detect the HDMI display
glad you got it working.
sorry would have replied yesterday but had no power for a good while and i didnt want to risk getting into a big support back and forth on my phone (i hate typing on the phone) 😅
yeah but i encounter another issue that is gamemode can only accept one display that is using the dgpu at one time, so if i want to display it on tv i need to change my internal display mode back to hybrid
yeah gamescope only supports 1 display
nothing we can do about that sadly
aight but it's a bit of hassle since if i disconnect the hdmi i need to change back either my gamescope gpu or my internal display gpu
if only they support changing display in game mode
