what TDP are you running the legion go at as the legion go and any replacement ssds are prone to overheating it

Im running on performance 20w

yeah the legion go cant really handle that properly iirc because its cooling is craptastic

First few days i tried running it on custom but it really overheats then just today i moved it to performance How about the fan?

i have it on auto tbh might be that it overheats since you have it on manual and dont cool it properly when it needs it at 20W

ahhh so i should just disable it then? okay so ill try that then though with dragon age veilguard does not work on balanced TDP it stutters

i conveniently bring my legion go with me to work but try just have fan curve on auto so hhd handles it and see if thats enough for 20W but i kinda doubt it even swapping the ssd can make the legion go overheat i heard as most replacement ssds get too hot

yeah thats true im using the WD sn7770m so I had to buy a heatsink and some thermals just to cool it down

could be related as youre already stressing the cooling at that point try auto is my only suggestion sadly if that doesnt work then i guess last resort is to board the veilguard jet plane :clueless:

i personally prefer the steam deck in terms of inputs and ergonomics and i find the screen resolution on the go stupid

Don't lower the fan curve your fan curve is too low You unchecked the enforce windows minimums button Then went ahead and used a fan curve that's too low And you complain of overheating Also clean the fan If your ambient is above 25c and the fan is not clean you will overheat even with the stock fan curve

actually the photo that you saw I did that just today before someone responded on this post. but before that I was on windosws minimums and sticking to the custom TDP

custom 25w

25w is borderline with the stock fan curve too The legion go just doesn't have a powerful fan It's unfortunate If you want to not overheat increase the default fan curve

I tried doing that but it still overheats..

You clean the fan? Compressed air works

Yes i did but still the same though right now putting it in balnced mode and disable manual fan curve is working
