It looks like an internet issue causing it to disconnect for some reason. Not really sure how to get it to go away.
For me, when I had that issue, I couldn’t get it to stop till I actually got an extender to fix my internet. As a workaround, you can try to maybe to download as a zip?
yeah been trying that but clearly my browsers tryna screw with me cuz its doing some weird download where it just spins and is incredibly slow
If it's slow, then that's either because GitHub's Servers are slow, or your internet is. As for just spinning, all GitHub downloads do that for some reason.
yeah but its more so just absurdly slow, going down to like 50 kbs
Again, likely either your internet (most likely if it's failing to clone), or GitHub's server just being dumb. Try running a speed test?
results: not great but not bad enough that it should be failing that hard
Huh
of speed test I mean
In that case, I can't say I have any other ideas, then. Sorry!

The download should only be a few hindered megabytes
