Sounds like a cool project. I just have a few questions:
- What are the restrictions when it comes to tools/technology? Does it have to run on a PHP shared server, or can NodeJS etc be used?
- How many and which websites have to be scanned? Can you provide an example event?
- What is your budget?
I'll like to use python
I'll provide full details
We will be doing such tracking for thousands of events on the following websites.
Stubhub.com
VividSeats.com
TickPick.com
Viagogo.com
Gametime.co
SeatGeek.com
Gotickets.com
Ticketmaster.com
On our end, we want to be able to input a particular event’s link, and have the cheapest price data for each section on each website automatically be updating in a Google sheet so we can compare the live cheapest prices in each section across websites
We also want to have a constantly updating feed of the amount of remaining listings in each section so we can track whether a section is getting closer to selling out on each website
@<Tim> that's the details
For me personally the Google Spreadsheet part and python adds to much time, I don't have time for a project of this scope rn. But maybe someone else has time.
And you haven't answered the question about your budget yet
