Need help with authme (online mode on)
I'm not sure why my friends are using auth me even tho online mode is on were not too technical in Minecraft servers either so we don't know and they have their profiles set up using auth me too,
Now the thing is the server is a month old and my friends have progress on their accounts and removing authme might mess with that I'm not sure exactly, and I joined them today, I registered in authme and all and logged in once, I changed my username on Minecraft because I'd been meaning to change it and now I can't log back in to the account it keeps saying user doesn't exist and when I try registering it says account already registered and maximum accounts have been registered
So I can neither register nor login and removing the pluggin from aternos may mess with the progress

it doesnt mess with stuff especially in onlinemode, uuids are the same, get the owner to change it using commands
So Admincraft is for server administrators. Not players on a server. So even just insofar as you're a user on someone else's server, this isn't the place for it.
As you mentioned, you have online mode set to true on the server. That means that when you and your friends log into your genuine (paid) Minecraft account, your client sends the login info to Mojang, who sends back a session token, and when you connect to a server, you send the server your session token. That token contains an ID for your player character, and your items and locations and experience and all of that are saved based on that ID.
As far as I am aware, all AuthMe does is require a username and password. It doesn't remove or interfere with any part of that process I just explained. You can and SHOULD remove AuthMe as it serves zero purpose.
Would that affect our progress on the world or on our characters?

other than location to prevent using it to find bases (if enabled), which is only temp

Admincraft isn't really for user support. It's for staff, admins, and owners of servers. So stuff like being a user on a server with a plugin that you're struggling with? Not on-topic here.
If these guys wanna try, sure. But just know that it's out of scope for Admincraft.

If you want help with troubleshooting the user side of using AuthMe, I would find their plugin page and check their documentation, or see if they have a Discord or something that can support you as a player.
We don't know. The information you've given us isn't enough to figure that out.
