Installation Issues
Hi all, Please help me!
Hardware: My old gaming PC
Ryzen 5 3600
Asrock b450 board
32gb RAM
GPU: RX6800
Crucial 1tb m.2 nvme drive
ISO version HTPC bazzite-deck-stable
First off, I have only my macbook to make the installation media from, I used the dd comand to create the bootable usb:
sudo dd if=/Users/xxxxxxx/Downloads/bazzite-deck-stable.iso of=/dev/disk4 bs=1mt
Booted to it sucessfully, had to run it in basic graphics mode to get it to work, otherwise it kept crashing and rebooting.
after the installation on first reboot it asked me to 'verify MOK'. Please note that i have disabled secureboot in the BIOS already, not sure if there is something else I need to do.
After this it seems to bootloop and restart repeatedly.
Im pulling my hair out trying to get it to work,
Im on my 3rd re-install attempt!
What should I do?

I'm not sure how reliable is using the dd command, but if you managed to do the installation, I won't question it (personally, I like to use ventoy, so you can always try that)
I suggest you enable secureboot in the BIOS, Bazzite has full support, and it is encouraged to enable it
your "verify MOK" part is confusing, so try reinstalling after enabling secureboot

Okay, trying it now, hopefully it works. What about csm, shoud i enable or disable?
disable and throw away the key
it damages your gaming performance and is prone to issues
wait, for real?
yes
its why we dont support it
I think that may have been the issue. I am reinstallin right now and it is alerady smoother, the installer loaded way faster and no hiccups so far. Stay tuned, will update shortly
awesome
Completed the installation, Getting this on reboot, what should i do.
can I 'continue boot', will it cause problems?
getting stuck here
is there a version of ventoy for mac?
OK, disabled secureboot again, and now i have gotten past those errors. Lets see 🤞
if you had read the install guide you would know to press Enroll MOK
if you want secure boot then run
ujust enroll-secure-boot-key
in the terminal to trigger the screen again and enroll mok and then turn secure boot back on^^^
you need to read the docs before taking decisions by yourself

you don't need to disable it
it's open source, so I assume there is
wait doesn't seem to be the case... sorry about that
nevermind!
