looking to build my first pc, want at least 300 fps in game on low budget below 1.5k, want amd>intel
recently, ive been wanting to build my first pc as the laptop im using right now can barely run 130 fps on low settings, and does not reach my external monitor's frame rate, so is there any suggestions on specs i should get, or i just need like cpu, gpu, motherboard reccomendations. want my budget below 1,5k, and if im not mistaken, im pretty sure valorant is a cpu based game, so i dont really need that strong of a gpu, or i can wait for the 40 series gpu to drop drastically as they just released the 50 series, but yea mainly looking for a cpu that can get me over 300 fps in a real match on low settings, uh btw i prefer amd more than intel

are you looking for a prebuilt or do you want to build it yourself?
hmm what would u recommend as my first pc
well if you have the time I would 100 percent tell people to build it yourself. If you do build it yourself you can get way more value out of your price to performance.
yea i was wanting to build one by myself, but do you think it will be difficult or will i mess up and ruin the pc while building it for my first time
are you clownpierce from mc?
no lol
but i would like to get yall's reliable opinions on this thx
no way u thought the real clownpierce would come to valorant community help asking how to build a pc
lol
you never know :val_CAUGHT:
what specs do u guys have
u seriously think clownpierce is on laptop???
And Ryzen 5600x w 1660 super
= 165 fps low/med settings
u on laptop or desktop
are there like tutorials that i can learn how to build one myself?
uh im in apac area
hong kong
so how can i be 100 percent sure
talking bout 1.5k usd btw
hmm thats sad
i didnt read any of the above i just looked at the name
:val_Hampter:
prebuilt or what
aight
like 11,668.58 Hong Kong Dollar
but if its too overkill, i'd rather not go all out and use the whole 1,5k
the 40 series will prolly drop in price soon right?
cuz 50 series coming out
oh rlly?
so whne will 40 series drop in price?
wait what specs u have
what about the one u use to game
which one is the best
how much can that run
i mean im chill, i can wait for that to come out and prolly get a like 4060 or 4070 for cheaper
yea
alr
yea i'd rather get better ram and maybe go for ryzen 7 70 series
would it be a huge difference if i go for like ryzen 7 7700 or 7800 x3d?
so its a lot better than ryzen 5 5800x3d?
how much will i prolly get with like 32gb and like ryzen 7 7800 x3d
or should i just go for 7800x instead of x3d, is the difference big
but is it better for me to get specs off of amazon
as they are cheaper than buying them locally in here
whats a more trust worthy site for pc parts
do u get ur specs locally or like shipping
oh, is there a risk of them breaking the specs or smth like that
is it more expensive than here in hk
wait why does amazon show that a ryzen 7 9800x3d is cheaper than 7800x3d
in usd btw
hmm but the price difference between these two and a 5700x3d is huge tho
is it really worth the price to get a 9800x3d instead of 5700x3d
like half of 9800
uh what does it mean to bottleneck
oh, does a 4060 or 4070 bottleneck it?
how much does it run again
like what gpu is it compatible with
so u need a like 4090 ti to make it work?
wow
then surely not getting it
even though its cheaper than the 7800
then i should be good getting the 5800 x3d?
yea
wait, if i build a pc wrong, is all the specs messed up, or i can just build it again
U can
can build it again, as long as i dont damage important specs right?
also whats the difference between am4 and am5
yes
chipset
should i get a radeon gpu or nvidia
Hmm biggest problem I’m facing rn is that Amazon doesn’t seem to deliver gpu to hk for some reason
It can deliver every other specs or components I need
there are other retailers too
For example?
new egg
i dont know much but search reddit and all
alr
ill check it otu
honestly isnt that big of deal
val is pretty easy to run
depends on what other games u play
if u play other aaa games probs wait for the 5070 that ai shi is crazy
i do play fort sometimes
but will the price of other 40 series gpu drop
yea probably
retailers wanting to sell their remaining stock
yea, so will 40 series gpus be enough for fortnite
ryzen 9 9900x or ryzen 7 7800 x3d performs better?
wait in fact, anyone can list the top best amd ryzen cpus?
wait the internet says that 9800 x3d wont bottle neck with 4060 is that true
idk if i trust this or not
i tried 7800 x3d and it says cpu is too weak for 4060
i
would def not get 7800x3d tyho
cuz its just a scam, i can get 9800x3d for cheaper
alr
yea see u
should be the list so far, if yall are familiar with pc stuff pls tell me is there anything to change, like will the ram be blocking the cooler and other stuff
couldnt find the correct gpu here but it should be the same radeon 7600xt but it should be around 300 usd
ultimately, i think i will save like 250 or 300 bucks and get 5700 x3d, cuz i dont think i need this good of a cpu
Yea placed there for like reference
Yea how much did u get urs for
no it only offers same performance with dlss on
its ai reliant
if u get 9800x3d without a good gpu it'll cause bottleneck and ur cpu wont reach its maximum potential
but its better to get 4090 plus the prices will drop soon
does valorant support dlss
who needs a 4090
its just overkill for way too much money
just for some perspective, I use a 3060ti and routinely get around 260fps on max settings. If anyone tells you you need a 50 or a high 40 series, it's not necessary.
true, but if you just want to play valorant you dont even need a 500€ pc to run 144+ stable
i get around 280 to 300 on max with my 4070ti :hehe:
his budget is 1.5k, so he can opt for some of the more expensive ones if he wants, but I just want to remind him that it's a wildly unecessary amount
here's the first clip I found, where I have 260~ fps. https://medal.tv/games/valorant/clips/jraxxcmLjjtry-1tM?invite=cr-MSxWUlgsOTIxNTU1NTEs
Omerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

...okay (?)
^because you said that
:hehe:
.
That is with clipping 60fps 1080p
also 260 is p much the peak, not the ~
https://medal.tv/games/valorant/clips/jraHdPzn7hETIhzHO?invite=cr-MSxCMlosOTIxNTU1NTEs
it might not have been the average in the clip I sent, but in my experience that is roughly what I get. In this alternative clip, i'm easily reaching 300+.

not gonna respond any more, since this thread is about helping this guy choose his PC options. Good luck with that.
First of all, thanks y’all for helping me out with the insane amount of opinions and recommendations
But yea, will like a 4060 be worse than 3060ti, or will it be the other way arojnd
And also will 30 series bottleneck the 5700x3d
you can search up "4060 vs 3060ti" yourself and compare the benchmarks, but the 3060ti is slightly better than the 4060.
as for bottlenecks, I have no idea
valorant doesn't support dlss
so you shouldn't look for the 50 series
the 50 series isn't that much of an improvement in terms of hardware than the 40 series, but it's like 3x better for AI (TOPS), but that doesn't matter for valorant since they don't support DLSS
if you see the frames on the 50 series, you'll se they have "rt + DLSS on" at the bottom of the NVIDIA page. don't believe in them, since they're not actual frames but "fake frames", and mean nothing to you if you plan on playing val
so basically its a glitch yesteday, and it showed that 9800x3d was cheaper than 7800x3d on amazon
but now its back to normal
and 7800x3d is cheaper
but it is worth for me to pay an additional 200 bucks to get a 7800x3d instead of 5700x3d
exactly
idk what hes on ab
5070 is horrid
raw performance matters more than ai performance
4090 is more expensive for a reason
nobody "needs" it he wants above 300 fps and wants a good cpu for it but for a good cpu to perform to its maximum potential u need a good gpu as well + he has the budget for it and 4090 is still the best gpu in the market and will last him a long time
how much is a 4090? since when does it go with a 1.5k budget 😭
hes in hong kong
+ the prices r gonna drop
eventually
due to the release of 50 series
personally i would never buy a 4090 but he wants at least 300 meaning the lowest fps he wants is 300 not highest thats y i was recommending 4090 but the 4080 or 4070 will do the same thing
4070super is also a beast of a gpu, if he doesn’t want the 4090, but yeah I’d definitely not recommend the 50 series. Keep in mind, good peripherals are also very expensive and you can’t spend your entire budget on the GPU. A good monitor can be a few $100, keyboard and mouse combined can probably be $100 combined, a good headset is around there too and you might want good microphone etc. Not all PC hardware and certainly not GPU
Yea basically I already have a decent keyboard, mouse, monitor etc. but if I really are in need I can go for a headset, as I’m using a beats headphones currently
can bottleneck happen the other way around, like gpu being much better than cpu
yes
will a 5700x3d and a radeon 7600xt have a risk in doing so
with what gpu
everything has "a risk", it depends what you pair with what
7600 xt
radeon rx 7600xt
oh
there are a few bottleneck calculators online, you should check them out :OKAY:
hmm does this show that cpu is too weak?
this one did, yes
Is this website accurate
Do not go with old ryzen
Go with the newer chips
What’s considered newer
It will be more worth it cuz you can upgrade in the futjre
The 7000 series
7000 series cpus
Try go with a ryzen 5 7600 or 7600x
What about 7800 x3d
That’s a bit expensive tho
That's am4
No that’s am5
How much is the ryzen 5 7600?
For you
200usd
7600x or 7600?
7600
Nvm it’s the x
Where are you buying from?
Amazon
If your in the USA I suggest going to microcentre
It’s a bit cheaper than 5700x3d
Nah I’m not in the states
Oh
Canada?
Or eu?
Nah I’m in uh Hong Kong
But Amazon delivers to here
Oh
Well I suggest going eith the r5 7600x and a rx7600xt
Is 7600x am4 or5
Am5
Let me see how much fps it gets
Am5 chips set will continue for next series so you can upgrade
Wait is 5700x3d better or 7600x in terms of performance
Ryzen 5
7600x
Hmm that’s a steal then, it’s cheaper on Amazon
Ahh I don’t know should I just go all out and get 7800x3d
You can if you want but if you want to save a bit go eitb r5
Is the performance difference huge
Between the r5 and r7 7800x3d? Yes
The r7 7800xrd is 10x better
So is it worth the extra 200 bucks
Problem is that if I get 7800x3d I’d prolly have to get a better gpu right?
Yeah
It's better you spend more on your gpu
What would I have to get
Even if I almost only play valo?
A 4070 ti 4080 or rx 7800 xt
I'm assuming around that
Hmm
So basically if I really need a 7800x3d it would be ideal for me to wait for the 50 series to come out and wait for the 40 series gpus to drop in price
Wait what specs do u use on ur pc
I have a ryzen 7 5700x and a rx 7600
I regret my stuff
I got my cpu as a bundle deal
Oh
How much u get in valo
Around 500
But my gpu only has 8gb vram which isn't up to today's standard
More vram the better
how much should ryaen 5 7600x with 7600xt get
crazy, bottleneck calculator websites show that 7800x3d works great with 7600xt
High setting 400-500 on val
range or ingame
Death match
It's a estimate so around that range
k
There will be a 5.5% bottleneck in cpu intensive games like val
But gpu intense games will have 0% bottle neck
for which two specs
No u don’t my friend has a 4070 and a 14700k and gets 450
No way u acc belive him
I over clocked my stuff
..
Still not 500
Ryzen 5 7600x and a rx 7600xt
Yeah I've optimized a lot
I'm at low setting getting 500
And the 7600x is on zen 4 architeture
Yeah but it's upgradeable
For next gen
It wont support 8000 series
Bro it's the same socket??
Amd said there next series will have the same socket
No they didnt
Yes they did??
When did they
Stop fabricating lies
I'm not fucking stupid
how much fps will be lost approximately if 7800x3d is used with 7600xt
Let me check bottleneck
I don’t belive ur trashy ai
because it seems that the only well priced and deliverable gpus on amazon is the 7600xt
Untill amd says it its not true
A 6750xt?
Yeah its good a ryzen 7 7800x3d and 7600xt should be fine
radeon rx 7600xt
IK but try see How much a 6750xt is
6750xt is not available everywbere
ok
If its avaible in crappy serbia im sure amazon will have it
damn its like 500 usd
thats 200 more than 7600]
9% more performance
Wow amazon is crazy
ITS more optimized
does bottleneck damage or make the performance of ur cpu/gpu worse quicker or just less fps
Less fps
wait i forgot how much fps wil be lost in valo if 7800x3d matched with 7600xt
Isint the 9800x3d cheaper for u
U Said yesterday
no it somehow glitched yesterday and now it shows up more
while the 7800 one decresed in price
How much more
Is it
200
usd
Eh
Ok get the 7800
There both good
but im almost certain that im between r5 7600x, r7 5700x3d and 7800x3d
7800 or 5700
i just dont know will 7800x3d lose much fps if i pair it with a 7600xt
No
I mean yes
But its still more powerful
Then the other 2
Cpus
cuz i heard people say they use like 7800xt or even 7900xt for 7800x3d
X3d is the best for gaming
It is but there's no use really if you don't stream, edit and stuff
L3 cash matters alot in like cs2 and val
7800xrd gives around 600-700
so is this like the setup now
No
I mean it really doesn't matter after like 300 fps
what
A 4090 and a 9950x gets u like 600-700
And thats the best possible things u can get
what about 5700x3d and 7600xt
in valo
Bro I'm going off actually tests on youtube
I bulid pcs and have 2 for games ik what im saying
@Aleks
I Kinđa like the 7800x3d more
But if its much cheaper then yes
how much is the fps difference
probs like 150-200
wait first of all, can it at least get stable 300 or more in game
Amd or Intel?
I have 1 of each
Yes
Ye all low 1080p
Sure
See that's the difference you don't have the actual parts he has tested
Ur fried in the head
I'm going off people who's posted actual tets
Tests
How so?
Bull shit
U claim that a 7800 gets more fps then a 9950x
the cpu itself is like double 5700x3d, not including i need to spend more for motherboard and ram for ddr5 and am5
How is it bullshjt from actual tests?
Am5 is loweky good bc of ddr5 and upgrade path
Cause u just tell lies over anything
How am I lying?
upgrade path meaning i can upgrade the cpu in the future?
But if ur tryan save some cash ye for sure get a am4 bulid
Mhm
how about 7600x, cuz i think its am5
So you said I was lying that you couldn't upgrade the cpu
No
7600x a over priced peace of shit
Is a
Untill amd says it
wait isnt it cheaper than 5700x3d
Doubt it
Yeah and its a bit bette
The l3 cash is smaller
wait it really is cheaper on amazon
but it is better
The l3 cash is way smaller
ITS am5 tho so ig get it
what is l3cash
How much is a ryzdn 7 7700x for you?
cant ship here + 100 more than 5700x3d
and like 120 more than 7600x
Go with whatever you want
Yea think I’m going with 7600x because it’s easier to upgrade and it’s cheaper
you will always have a bottleneck
that’s just how it works
either your CPU or GPU will be better
Is the bottle neck between 7600x and 7600xt high?
5.5%
It's not high
My bottleneck is 6%
ok
