Friend having constant freezes on their ASUS laptop with Nvidia GPU
They are getting random visual glitches similar to tearing, and random freezes with firefox that are fixed by rebooting their laptop. Their specs:

@sunny.ayyl the issue I mentioned
Sorry, if it isn't the issue I already mentioned, I don't have much idea (like Nvidia driver not working)
It seems to be a AMD integrated graphics
Nvm
I just woke up
It's nvidia
:huh: sorry

Some people fixed it by enabling web rendering, but it should be automatically enabled on some DE
Honestly, no idea
Wayland sometimes interferes with hardware video decoding. If video briefly flickers when you go fullscreen, you may need to set widget.wayland.opaque-region.enabled=false in about:config.
But I dunno
That seems to be their laptop, once they try it out they'll report back to me
It was already set as true
So nope
Ah
Yeah I really don't know what's the cause of the issue here
I suspect it's because it's a hybrid graphics laptop
And I heard they have a lot of weird issues
Yeah it still happens for them
Maybe there's no fix
@Kyle Gospo is this one
ujust logs-last-boot | fpaste
After a freezeOkay I'll tell them and report back once I get a log
The second image is what the system monitor displays briefly while the freezes occur
@Kyle Gospo @sunny.ayyl
Sadly, it seems like the log files is too long and pastbin refuse to save it
Maybe get him to reboot, trigger the issue, then run it immediately
We don't know what triggers the issue exactly
Well, try screenshotting one output of the command without
| fpaste|
better do
ujust logs-last-boot > log.txt
and sending the file:true:
Discord also have file size limit
If you don't have nitro especially
just split it or upload somewhere else
Fair enough
Where is the file saved
in their home probably
if they run it in terminal without cd
If they couldn't find it. Try running
ujust log-last-boot > ~/Downloads/log.txt
instead, the only difference is that it throws the file into your Downloads folder insteadyeah, i guess thats the better way lol
Yeah, but at the same time, your idea of sending a file is definitely better than my "send a thousand screenshots" idea :clueless:
