Is Secure Boot still required for Win 11 to run this game?
So I have league of legends already installed and it works fine with the vanguard thing running in the background. But for valorant, is it still mandatory to take extra steps to enable secure boot features?
I also heard you had to edit the registry to allow the service to work properly. I donβt want to run the risk of damaging my hardware just to get the game to work properly.

yes, it is required
I haven't heard anything about changing shi in the registries
Also secure boot is required on win11 cuz secure boot is a requirement for win11
I have secure boot enabled already from what it looks like
So can I just go straight to installing the game then?
Or do I need to modify any startup options aside from the default
it will show you once you try to start the game :OKAY: if its on it should work just the way it is rn
I forgot about the UEFI part for startup. Iβm guessing thatβs needed too?
Cuz it may just be on secure default boot
Press win+r
Type msinfo32
Show ss
There it will say if secure boot state is on or not
Sorry for reviving this thread, but i checked my msinfo32 thing on run command. it says "secure boot state as ON" and BIOS is showing as "UEFI". i didnt even modify anything yet on my pc so i actually can run valo then right?
im guessing its good to go already without having to do anything then?
Yes
TPU 2.0, secure boot enabled, and UEFI enabled. That should be good then
i love how you didnt just try to play it π if something wouldΒ΄ve been missing, you wouldΒ΄ve gotten an error message showing you what you have to do :hehe:
Yeah Iβm gonna finally install it today
And then see
For some reason my laptop already had UEFI on so idk how but I guess that means I donβt need to enter BIOS then
It Usually is alrdy on UEFI
Solution
