Shirt pulls slightly in side pleats - if I get this shirt replicated, how could it be improved?

Hi all, I have a shirt that fits almost perfectly, except for some pulling in the side pleats as pictured. I plan to get it replicated via an MTM service - what could I ask them to do to fix the pulling in the pleats? I'm not a fan of how box pleats look, and the shirt isn't tight in the chest.

I'm hoping for the pleats to lay a little flatter. Already considered posture, that isn't the issue.

Means the shirts cut too slim

The underarms through the sides all look like it's pulling a bit and too slim

Definitely. Arm holes are too high, and it's too slim all around. Shoulder seams look a bit too narrow too, which is why the pleat is stretching out. Pleats are designed to give you a bit of movement as you move. If they're already sitting like that, it means that the shirts too slim.

Once you start modifying the pattern you might as well get measured in person for MTM

Probably? If it's not uncomfortable go for it

I would say if you've been wearing it until now you're probably fine to keep wearing it until you get the chance to get some new shirts made and phase it out
