file - preferences - settings, search for font, change font family
but i want to put in a font io downloaded

Download the font, install it on your system, then put the name of the font in the
Front Family

uhh you should have a .tff file which you can open and there should be a button to install it

the fonts are probably in the folder aptly titled
fonts

i found out what to do
do i downlaod the one i want
then write it in the font family place
in settings in vscode>

open it and it should have a button to install

Then you should be able to just write the font name into the VSCode options
(you might need to restart your system to have the font show up tho)
