nvm thanks discord for loading the rest of the messages after i send mine 😑
Okay I’ll try!
Another question I have an update via Bazzite steam dated 2nd Jan. even if I do that still appears as available in the Steam Updates within the ‘System’ menu. Any suggestion to cope with that?
ignore the date, ignore the changelog.
its a bazzite update (if it applies slow) or steam client update (if it applies fast)
also ignore the timer as its fake (unless we got the progress added to stable already)
And what’s the suggestion? To keep applying until I will not see anything else in the ‘updates-to-do’ list?
Because I’ve done that two-three times and still appears there
One time it was slow, second time was fast
if it keeps appearing when you just applied it then go to desktop mode and run system update and see if its failing on anything
bazzite update followed by steam client update maybe
the system update application on the desktop gives you details about whats being done when updating and if it fails on anything it says what it is, might be a layered applicaiton (if any) causing issues and preventing the update from applying
I’ve tried doing this but still I have vibration… in Bazzite I’m using an Xbox like config which has been set via the handheld demon… any other suggestion?
try disable steam haptics
Thanks, from where?
steam settings for controllers
is that a steam deck
progress got added if not
use the handheld daemon updater
Strange I do not have any ‘steam haptics’ toggle there… ??!
Okay I’m running the system updater via the desktop mode
use the hhd updater
it will guide you through removing your layers
and updating
Thanks, where do I find it?
Ah seen
Thanks! I’ll use that next time
Anyway I went through the system updater via and got a full ‘ok’ after a number of updates so I should be okay now.
Last issue is the vibration still
(Anyway even after having run all the system updates via the desk mode that message on the steam client (gaming mode) is still there ‘update available’
did you press the buttons
Yup! Nothing happens.
The controllers are acting they are resetting but vibration is still there.
On the system update front:
got this from the handheld daemon
They shouldn't reset
Letting this do as well
Don't go to testing
Stay in stable
Shall I cancel this process?
Not sure if I did something wrong
In the steam client I got selected ‘stable’ as option for the operating system and Beta for the Steam client. Is that wrong?
Or where I do select the stable you were referring to?
Got this.. I click Check for Updates but nothing happens. Which I assume is correct.
Dunno what happened before
In steam I got this instead. Is Italian, sorry which is stable for the operating system and beta for the steam client. Is this correct?
Yes
I actually don't know I made it good enough to work with the steam client
Might remove the branch control from steam
Oki
@HikariKnight @antheas Ref. the vibration issue. Had to go on the Windows partition and use the Legion Space App to disable the vibration. It's the only way that works for me.
It seems that the Legion Space app has some sort of privileges over the other settings. Any idea?
On another topic: is there a way to control via Linux/Bazzite the LED on the Power Button? (Also to manage if that should be on or off I've to go on the Legion Space app)
Thanks in advance!
yes
well im pretty sure the keybind works but that also works
for the lights, its under the tdp settings
thanks, checking now. Any idea on why I cant sort out in bazzite the vibration? Shall I remove legion space on the windows partition?
Update: thanks, for the light I found the setting and that works via the HHD
we never implemented it
thats why
if you use the keybind in the controllers you should be able to control vibration strength
you can find it in the manual
Ok!
Then I found it!
It’s Legion LEFT + DPAD UP or DOWN!
Was not Legion Right! 😉
Thanks for the int! You’re all the best!
We can mark as solved!
