Graphics Artifacting - Legion Go
Hi there, I think I discovered a bug with Bazzite. I've installed it on a few legion go units without major issues. When going from desktop mode to gaming mode, I would get weird pink squares varying in size and pattern. I read the documentation which says not to mess with resolution in desktop mode at all, so I swapped the refresh rate back to 144hz from my set 60hz. The problem seems to have gone away for now. On this page (https://github.com/aarron-lee/legion-go-tricks) it's also mentioned that there is a bug with the same issues I experienced. I just wanted to join this discord and highlight the issue I faced as well as my fix in case anyone else bumps in to the same problem. Thanks π

the bug is randomly triggered when switching from desktop to gamemode. the display settings in desktop do not affect gamemode at all. π
it happens at 144hz and 60hz
Oh wild, thanks for clarifying. I thought it was weird because I haven't had the bug before throughout my installs
Only thing I did differently this time was leaving secure boot on when installing bazzite
sleeping and waking the device will remove the artifact, same with restarting steam (if you have developer mode turned on in gamemode)
thanks π is there any fix for otherwise?
not a permanent one, its a tricky bug to track down the cause of
for sure, especially because it can be intermittent - like I didn't get it until my fourth install and now it's gone away
It was freaking me out because I thought it was my graphics card and Lenovo Legion Go QC has been really bad
I'm on my second unit going on third
If it wasn't already stated you can fix this by just sleeping and waking the console
Until it's resolved fully
Thank you π
