General Question regarding my Dedicated Server
I have a Dedicated Server, mainly to host my own stuff on, not for commercial use.
What do you think I should upgrade next?
Specs:
Dual Intel Xeon E5-2660v4 (28C/56T)
96GB DDR4 RAM (2133mHz)
1TB SSD (Pretty sure Samsung Evos)

What do you host?
Minecraft Servers, Discord Bots
And why do you want to upgrade
I just have the money to do it tbh
Lolw, alr ig? If you're not experiencing any issues or have any reason to upgrade I don't see why you should
do you own the hardware?
I do
realistically, the used enterprise market won't have anything better for a reasonable price
But grabbing a Ryzen CPU wouldn't hurt
If you wanna stick with server CPUs a xeon E-2488 would be pretty good
depends what you want to do. If you just want to have like a cool machine with a bunch of cores, you could get this as like a 2nd machine
https://www.newegg.com/asrock-rack-altrad8ud-1l2t-q64-22-ampere-altra-max-ampere-altra-processors/p/N82E16813140134
but realistically, aside from just having like a ryzen 7950x machine for running minecraft faster, idk what you'd want
I will look into it
Not gonna need a 7950x, lol, if I ran a hosting or sum then maybe but I would never do that
It's got great single core speeds bit only 16c
With CPU's like that, can you do dual like my current one?
isn't that just a 13900 without e cores?
Idk tbh, I'm sure it's ez to figure out
Yeah I think
I use geekbench to check scores, unsure what you guys use
probably closer to 14th gen
Passmark for server CPUs imo
Btw if you're feeling like a billionaire grab a Intel Xeon w9-3595X Lol
damn thats expensive
like $7k
