issues with installing from USB Drive
I run into this, error file '/boot/grub/i386-pc/normal.mod' not found. If I look it up it tells me to disable CSM/Legacy settings. If I do this the flashdrive does not appear in the boot menu. I cannot figure out anything more to fix this.

What's your hardware?
Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Intel Xeon E3-1230 V3 3.3 GHz Quad-Core Processor
G.Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR3-1600 CL10 Memory
Asus STRIX GeForce GTX 970 4 GB Video Card
At this stage I'm thinking my Mobo is old and confused lol
Seems to be, it's trying to boot 32bit
Which we don't support
Which makes sense. It was sort of a last ditch effort to get a second life out of the machine
Some of the older mainboards have the option to switch between 32bit and 64bit in the bios.
Found this https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-B85M-D3H-rev-10-11/support#support-dl-driver which furthers my suspicion, that you can just turn on 64bit (since it offers 32 bit and 64 bit drivers)
Looking at this https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/237587/ your Geforce GTX 970 is still supported with the latest Nvidia drivers.
Oooh, you may have revived my project! I'll have to try that
I might be blind. I'm not seeing the option. I'll double check the manual again
Might be another issue entirely, If you made your bootable usb with Rufus, did you make sure that you selected EUFI (non CSM) for the target system
I usually use Ventoy though and I always select this GPT partition style which should be visibile
I am a Rufus user, and I might need to figure out Ventoy then
but for now I will re-make the USB with the option for certain and give it a try
Still seems as thought if I disable CSM I cannot see the flash drive to boot from
Have you tried other ports or other flash drives?
And you have disabled fast boot and secure boot?
I've given up. I think it's the mobo. Without testing it on my current PC I can't come up with any other reason
