Substance fails to launch

When I click play in steam for substance painter 2024 it tries to load briefly before crashing. Has anyone had luck running SP2024 on bazzite? From the searches I’ve done it seems to be possible, but I’m having no luck. I’ve found posts talking about launch options like steam -compat-force-sir off But didn’t have any luck with that. There were also posts about targeting steam linux runtime 3.0 (sniper). But I don’t have the option to target it, 2.0 and 1.0 don’t seem to work. Bit of a bummer since it seems the substance painter devs actually put work into making it run on Linux.

Did you do a typo maybe? the steam compat command should have an L in slr, not an i in it steam -compat-force-slr off

I typo’d it here, but I’m pretty sure I entered it correctly in terminal. I’ll try again when I get home. To clarify though, I just enter that command into the terminal while steam is closed and it’ll launch steam, correct? I’m not sure if that command will still work, because the discussion that mentioned it said it would only be a temporary solution. And that was back at the beginning of November.

There is nothing more permanent than a temporary solution

I checked and I did input the correct command /var/home/daniel.lindsey/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Substance 3D Painter 2024/Adobe Substance 3D Painter: error while loading shared libraries: libtiff.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory here is the relevant error I think my best bet is running it with the 3.0 runtime, but I don’t know how to do that
